Dr. Carly Fisher, LPC

Carly is a Licensed Associate Counselor and Licensed School Counselor. She graduated with a Masters from William Paterson University where she completed her degree in both School Counseling and Mental Health Counseling. After completion of her Master’s degree, she further pursued her Doctorate degree at Montclair State University in Family Studies. Her dissertation and research focused primarily on families and children of divorce. Through her research, she learned the importance of communication and the positive influence it can have on all relationships.

Carly has had experience in the school system as a teacher for elementary and middle school children. She has enjoyed being able to watch her students grow and ultimately become their best self. Carly’s professional experience also includes running groups with children and helping them through the social and emotional difficulties they may face.

Carly practices with a person centered approach. She believes in building rapport with her clients to foster a trusting relationship. Carly aims to help clients appreciate their individual strengths. She creates a positive climate where they can fully experience their feelings in a nonjudgmental environment. Carly believes in helping clients cope with any difficulties they encounter and learn skills they can carry with them throughout their lives.
